Terms of Service

By using Suke you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. If you invite staff, you are responsible for the access you grant them and for removing it when they leave. You may run multiple businesses from one account where your package allows.

Free use, trials and packages

Suke is free to use for the everyday basics. Selling, products and stock, customers, debts and expenses do not require a paid package, and we do not intend to put the running of your shop behind a paywall.

Additional features — among them reports and exports, the AI assistant and insights, promotions and Telegram publishing, payroll and staff management, and multi-branch and multi-business support — are included in paid packages. Which features a package includes is shown in the app on the Package screen, and that list is the definitive one: it is generated from the same rules that decide what you can open.

New businesses get a 30-day free trial with full access, so you can judge the paid features before paying for them.

Paying, and what happens when you stop

Packages are paid in birr. Payment is made on our website, not inside the mobile app: you pay using the method shown there, and we verify the payment before your package changes. Verification is done by a person, so there is a short delay between paying and your access changing. Access then runs to the end of the period you paid for.

If you stop paying, you are not locked out. When a paid period ends, your business returns to the free package. You keep your data and you keep trading — the paid features simply stop being available until you pay again. Losing a subscription must never cost a merchant the ability to serve a customer.

Prices can change. If they do, we will tell you before the change applies to you. Refunds are not automatic; if something has gone wrong with a payment, contact us and we will look at it.

Your data

Your business data is yours. We do not sell it, and we do not use your records to advertise to you. You can ask us to export or delete it at any time. What we collect and which other companies receive it is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

AI features

The assistant, receipt scanning, insights and promotion artwork are produced by AI models, and AI models get things wrong. Check anything that matters — a figure, a scanned amount, a reference number — before you rely on it. These features are an aid to your judgement, not a substitute for it, and we do not accept liability for a decision taken on an unchecked answer.

You are responsible for what you publish. Promotion artwork is generated by editing the photograph you supply, so the product in the advertisement should be the product you actually sell — do not use it to advertise goods a customer will not receive.

Publishing to Telegram

If you connect a Telegram channel, anything you publish is visible to everyone in that channel and is subject to Telegram’s own terms. You are responsible for the channel, for what is posted to it, and for having the right to post the content you send.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, attempt to breach its security, use it for unlawful activity, or use it to record trade you are not entitled to carry on. Do not resell access to Suke or share one account across separate businesses to avoid paying for them.

Availability

Suke is built to work offline and keeps a copy of your data on your device, so an outage on our side should not stop you selling. Even so, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and syncing, AI features and publishing need a connection to work.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend an account that is being used unlawfully or in a way that threatens the service or other merchants. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. You may stop using Suke at any time and ask us to delete your data.

Liability

Suke is provided “as is.” While we work hard to keep your data safe and available, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above shows when they last changed, and material changes will be announced in the app rather than only here. Continuing to use Suke after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and disputes are subject to the courts of Addis Ababa.
